The Opinion Poll Day events held in SIP’s communities on a regular basis have become an important channel for local residents’ voices to be heard and responded.

The east gate of Lianhua Xincun Wuqu residential quarter in Xingtao Community in Xietang Sub-district, which had been closed due to a metro station construction project, has been reopened as local residents required in the Opinion Poll Day event in April. Construction waste was cleared away from the surrounding area and ground repaired before the reopening.

The road surface at a bus stop located near Qingwan Community in Weiting Sub-district was repaired to prevent waterlogging, a problem the residents mentioned in the Opinion Poll Day event in May.

In response to the request from the residents participating in the Opinion Poll Day in March, Wentaoyuan Community in Shengpu Sub-district has built 16 new shared charging piles for electric cars, and plans to set up another eight in the future.

According to the residents’ complaints in the Opinion Poll Day in March, Zhonghai Community in Jinji Lake Sub-district took multiple measures to curb mobile vending on the non-motor vehicle lane between the west and north gates of Xingwan School, including conducting regular patrols, providing help for vendors to move into the market at the nearby neighborhood center, and collaborating with the school to spread knowledge on food safety.
